Description: In 2019, Keep America Beautiful will offer individual merit-based grants in amounts of $2,500, $5,000 and $10,000. Total grant funding is expected to exceed $300,000. Keep America Beautiful community-based affiliates, local governments, business improvement districts, downtown associations, parks and recreation commissions, and other organizations dedicated to eradicating litter and beautifying their communities are encouraged to apply.

Description: The Recycling Partnership, in association with Resource Recycling, Inc., is pleased to announce the fourth annual Steve Thompson Memorial Grant, giving free travel, accommodations and registration for the 2019 Resource Recycling Conference to the chosen winners. Recycling industry leader Steve Thompson was a committed recycling champion who worked tirelessly to move the industry forward. The Recycling Partnership and Resource Recycling are honoring him and his life’s work by offering grants to recycling professionals for the fourth year in a row. The 2019 Resource Recycling Conference will be held in New Orleans, LA from Aug. 26-28.

Tennessee Waste Reduction Grant

Description: Tennessee counties, cites, solid waste authorities and organizations which have been determined to be tax exempt nonprofit recycling organizations by the Internal Revenue Service may apply for grants under T.C.A. §68-211-825. This also includes the Recycling Rebate counties/cities. Eligible waste reduction equipment includes key equipment needed to establish new collection or processing capacity, to improve existing collection or processing operations, or to prepare materials for transport and marketing. Eligible facilities shall receive and distribute materials for waste reduction purposes.

OSS Solid Waste District Competitive Funding Program

Description: The Competitive Funding Program was created to provide funding to local governments, educational institutions and non-profit organizations for solid waste programs. The District cannot, by law, fund any privately owned business. The District provides a specified amount of money in the budget each year for the Competitive Funding Program. (For yearly funding amounts - contact the District office) Funding applications are awarded in two equal rounds in January and June. The District has a committee who reviews the grants and makes recommendation to the Board of Directors. The application is due on January 31st and June 30th.

PepsiCo Recycling Zero Impact Fund Grant - College Campus Environmental Initiative

Description: The PepsiCo Recycling Zero Impact Fund is designed to engage your entire campus community by offering a chance to win up to $10,000 to create or strengthen green initiatives on campus. Representatives or employess of eligible college or university campuses may submit proposal(s) that explain details about their initiative to advance an environmental sustainability agenda on their campus. A judging panel will review proposals and select winners which will receive funding. The number of campuses awarded will depend upon the size of the chosen requests.
